Is your life a land of desolation?

Today we are all facing times not seen before. Yes, there have been riots, yes there has been vandalism and anarchy; however this is much different. This stems from the core of our county, us, our hearts. Around our country here in America we are seeing people commit crimes and get away with it in the name of making a change.

These people have lives of desolation. They have an emptiness inside them and are acting out in negative ways in the attempts of filling those gaps with a worthless act. Violence will not fill the hole in their lives. They see racism, discrimination, unfairness, inequality and have no idea what to do to change that.

They feel empty out of sorrow and empathy for those that deal with this. The problem is this is part of life. No human is perfect and there is good and bad in all walks of life; all professions, all races and religions, and social classes. It will never change because people are involved and with free will and a sinful nature we can't do anything different apart from God. No, I'm not saying that non-Christians can't be good people, but without God there is not real reason to be moral and honorable and honest in this world.

When you live dead without God but alive in your sin, your life is like the description of Babylon in Jeremiah 51:43 "Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth any son of man pass thereby." When you live for God and commit to doing his will for your life will be a land full of milk and honey. You may not be rich or famous but that's not promised. He promises to never leave you and to always provide. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 19:11. You can believe that if God is thinking good things for you that he'll make them happen.

The only way to get your life alive and living for real is to trust in Jesus. Emotionally a lot of people are dry and empty while being stuck at home, unable to go out or some go to work, right now suicide is on the rise. New Mexico is number one in the nation for suicides, and I would wager it is due to Covid as it wasn't this way prior but with our strict rules, people are going hungry while being unemployed while the state is shut down.

Even while hurting financially, you can stay hopeful and remain positive in knowing that it will all work out and if God allows this to continue, he has a plan. This does not; however, make this any easier to swallow. We all have our opinions on how to fix this situation that has been created by the left wing media political side, but the truth is only God can fix it. God says, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

We need revival in this country. This country was built upon a Christian foundation by those trying to follow God and his will for their life of freedom. The problem is we have free will and we have freedoms here that allows people to believe what they want. That is good and as an Army veteran I support all our freedoms. The problem is people think those freedoms negate their responsibilities for their actions.

If you truly want to have a life of a land of milk and honey, a prosperous life, you must follow Jesus Christ and stay in the center of his will for your life. Sometimes that means standing alone when your friends and family laugh at you or abandon you for your beliefs. One thing I always say to unbelievers is "I would rather believe in God and Jesus Christ and him not be real, then not believe and him be real. Because if he is real and I don't believe than I'm spending eternity in hell, in eternal torment, but if he isn't then i have lost nothing." Now i truly do believe in Jesus and follow him as much as humanly possible.

I just want to help you so you don't live a life of desolation, separated from the God that made everything and has the power to save your soul and forgive your sins in an eternal standing. You make your own choices. It is your responsibility to choose for yourself if you will believe and follow or not. I can't decide that for you. No man or religion and forgive you, only the only begotten son and God can do that.

Please check out my book.

Depression is something that most people experience at one point or another. During this time of life, life can be hard to live. Some people attempt to hide it from others, while others have trouble coping with life situations and have trouble with everyday tasks such as personal self-care.

This book will show how the author had gone through depression for many years and teaches how he allowed his faith in God to conquer that depression in his own life. These teachings are meant to help others overcome their own depression while letting them know they are not alone in their struggle.
