Today will be more for me then you'll, but this lesson applies to all.
Do you struggle at times to do the things you want to do and do the things you don't want to do? Our flesh fights with the spirit. We are imperfect people that make mistakes and work for pleasing ourselves.
"For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do." Romans 7:15-19
Well I know it is not easy and sometimes we do the opposite to what we know is right. There is a very simple yet difficult way to fix that; just stay in the Word of God daily, stay under good preaching and be in daily constant prayer.
"I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing. I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person." Psalms 101:1-4
If you want to overcome your addictions, your sins, your temptations, what ever it is that you tend to fall and fail at a lot, you must remain in Jesus Christ. Singing is a way to praise his name, a way to worship the almighty God. Remember he is merciful but is just and wants perfection out of us. Perfect in the Bible is speaking of maturity, not perfect as we see it today. As humans we can never be perfect.
How do you walk, or ac, in your home and when alone. "That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly." Matthew 6:4. God sees it all and sees where are hearts are at. He knows if we truly want to obey and have trouble keeping his word in certain areas. He will give grace as you struggle, learn and grow.
In order to overcome those temptations that lead us into sin, we must hate the sin. We must remember that the facts are that "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 We must control our position in life and our disposition. "But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." Romans 13:14
Again, in order to overcome, we must realize what God says about it. We must read, hear, and study God's word and decide where we are going to stand and what boundaries we are going to set in our lives.
This is not all and definitely not easy, but if you are reading this and wish to speak more, I am more then willing to talk one on one with you about what the Bible says, and try to give you some counsel and guidance. Not that I am qualified to do so, I just share what God says through His Word.

Depression is something that most people experience at one point or another. During this time of life, life can be hard to live. Some people attempt to hide it from others, while others have trouble coping with life situations and have trouble with everyday tasks such as personal self-care.
This book will show how the author had gone through depression for many years and teaches how he allowed his faith in God to conquer that depression in his own life. These teachings are meant to help others overcome their own depression while letting them know they are not alone in their struggle.
